Hewitson Walker is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Auditor to undertake a 9-month assignment for a large organisation based in Basingstoke. This is a senior position within a high profile team helping the business to identify and manage its key risks and provide management and the Audit Committee with appropriate assurance.
Duties Include
- Produce terms of reference and audit programmes for a wide variety of audits
- Interpreting policy and procedure and applying professional accounting and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate complex financial records and operational systems
- Developing recommendations for bringing programs and operations into compliance with goals and objectives, and writes reports documenting findings
- To perform research to locate and summarise applicable laws and best practice guidelines
Skills Required
- Professional qualifications - PIIA, MIIA or CCAB.
- Previous auditing experience within a commercial environment
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Word, and Excel;
- The ability to analyse complex and diverse situations
- Ability to adapt in a fast moving and constantly changing organisation
