Hewitson Walker is pleased to be recruiting an experienced Financial Analyst to join a prestigious business based in Bracknell. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis you will provide accurate and timely Management Information to the business heads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance financial modelling approaches and systems, ensuring that the department meets the business goals through the provision of accurate, meaningful and added value information.
- Create Management Information including cash flow and P&L variance analysis that is accurate, timely and appropriate for effective decision making
- Play a key role in the co-ordination and completion of the budgeting, forecasting and planning process.
- Maintain an annual profit roll-forward reconciling movements to business drivers and maintain a view of the potential impact of proposed business or financial changes.
- Provide strong cost analytics, supporting the business in continued efforts to improve cost/revenue ratio, including annual budgeting process and periodic budget to actual reviews.
- Constantly develop revenue-forecasting techniques to improve accuracy.
- Develop business driver analysis of financial performance, assess variances to forecast and work with the Financial Accounting team to improve.
- Provide ad hoc planning and forecasting analytical support to the Board.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in a Financial Management function
- Qualified accountant or will consider candidates in late stages of obtaining qualification
- First class analytical skills
- Financial Services experience - essential
- Detail oriented but with the ability to summarize salient points for Management and Board discussion
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to work to and deliver within tight timelines and under pressure
- Good excel and modelling skills
