I contacted Ben Barribal at Hewitson Walker following a number of good reports I had heard about him from the general market place. I was looking to recruit a new Financial Controller and although I had interviewed a number of individuals through other recruitment agencies, I didn't feel they had the exact personality requirements I was looking for.
I spoke to Ben on the Monday morning and explained the current state of play. Not only was he able to talk to me knowledgably about the people I had already seen (he summarised them perfectly), but he was also able to immediately discuss other potential candidates with me. I was delighted when Ben suggested we meet later that afternoon to enable him to understand more fully what my requirements were.
Interviews were arranged for the Wednesday and although all three candidates were suitable matches, one in particular stood out, incidentally, the individual that Ben had indicated was his preferred selection for the role. A second interview was conducted on the Friday and our subsequent offer to the candidate was accepted.
In hindsight, I am pleased I decided to contact Ben for assistance in recruiting for this role and have been particularly impressed with his in depth knowledge of his candidate base. I would not hesitate to recommend his services and will be utilising them again when I recruit in the future.
